When I look back on my time spent at ACD in Dublin I remember two things vividly: crying when I left to go to Ireland, and crying even harder when I had to leave to come home. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined what studying abroad at the American College would be like. I arrived in January among sixteen other Americans, almost all of whom were strangers to begin with, and left with a family. My time spent both in Dublin and traveling in Europe was the best time I have ever experienced in my 21 years on this Earth, and if given the opportunity to trade it for all of the money in the world I would decline the money in a heartbeat. All of the money in the world could not buy me the memories I made and the family I came to love and who came to love me. The group of American students I lived with were not the only ones I fell in love with. The other students who attend the University welcomed us all with warm smiles and open arms and also became part of the family that grew and grew. The school itself is situated in the perfect location right in the heart of Dublin and is within walking distance of some of the best pubs, sites, parks, and necessities anyone could want or need. The professors and staff of ACD are all extremely friendly and are always willing to help in anyway possible. I will never, ever forget my time spent abroad or the family and friends that will remain with me forever.
